Rainbow Frequently Asked Questions and Policies
Frequently asked questions
Is there a registration fee? Do I need to re-register each year?
Rainbow Gymnastics has a $50 individual/$75 familyannual (Sept-Aug) registration fee for all children. This fee is pro-rated beginning January 1st. There is a $10 registration fee for new students who enroll in summer classes only. Every student must register at the start of a new session year (typically September).
What is your tuition policy? How do I make payments?
What should my child wear to class?
A one piece leotard is preferred for girls. Shorts or sweat pants and t-shirts may be worn for boys and girls as long as they are not baggy or covering the feet and present a danger spotting the child. Girls hair should be tied back (ie. ponytail, braids etc). No jewelry is allowed to be worn. All children must have bare feet while in class.
What days are you closed?
What if my child is sick and misses a class?
What is Rainbows withdrawal policy?
Rainbow maintains a 12 month schedule. If you are planning to leave for any reason, you must notify the office 15 days prior to the beginning of the upcoming month. Failure to notify Rainbow Gymnastics will result in being held responsible for the upcoming months bill. Rainbow cannot guarantee withdrawals unless they are submitted at the office. Reminder: once registration is paid for the year, you may re-enroll the child in an available class without paying another registration fee within the given registration year.
Is there a visitor/parent policy?
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, one adult spectator per student is permitted in the gym at this time. Please do not talk or wave to your child while they are in class. Interruptions could cause serious injury to your child or another child. For safety reasons, no flash photography is allowed. Under no circumstances are children or parents who are not participating in class allowed on the gym floor. If you need to speak with an instructor, please do so at the end of your child’s class. Our instructors are always happy to answer any questions you may have but please keep in mind they may have other children waiting for them.
What are the policies regarding students before/after class and during class?
Classes start and end on time. Do not drop off a student more than 15 minutes early for class unless prior arrangements have been made with the office. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late for class will not be allowed to participate for the class. Proper stretching is a must before starting practice. It is difficult to pull another coach away from class to stretch the child who arrived late. Please pick your child up on time at the end of class. Rainbow recommends you stay on premises while your child is in class. However if you must leave, please notify the office or coach.
Students are expected to follow the gym rules and listen to their coach. Coaches give corrections to students to enhance their abilities and to ensure safety of the student and others around them. Students who are continually disruptive in class will be removed from the class for the day. Our motto: Safety First!!
I think I left something at the gym. What should I do?
Valuable items should not be brought to the gym. Rainbow Gymnastics is not responsible for any items lost or stolen. However, we do pick up items at the end of the night. If you think you may have left something here, please call the office as soon as possible to see if we may have found it. Unclaimed items are donated to charity.
What safety measures are you taking in the gym to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
Rainbow Gymnastics takes the health and safety of our students and staff very seriously. We are operating at 25% capacity, health screening everyone who enters our building, requiring staff to wear PPE at all times, maintaining social distance during class and sanitizing between rotations.
Are students required to wear masks?
Students are not required to wear a mask during class/practice time. Staff and spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear their mask when in the gym.
Are parents permitted in the gym during COVID-19?
In an effort to limit exposure and maintain social distance in our lobby, only one adult spectator is permitted in the gym at this time. Parents will welcome in the gym once all students are on the floor.
Is there a way to observe my child's class?
YES! We know how important it is to be able to view your child's class. If you are not able to come in to the gym, we offer access to SPOT TV. SPOT TV allows you to view your child’s class from any internet enabled device so you can watch from the parking lot while you wait!
How can I sign up for SPOT TV?
You can register for a SPOT TV account via their website (www.spottv.pro) or directly from your parent portal. Please note, new accounts require 24 hrs to be approved so be sure to sign up prior to your child's first class.
